Ike’s impact

I got this from the Houston Chronicle, so the copyright goes to them.

I couldn’t resist posting it, this is I-45 just north of Galveston. Reentry teams had to use the northbound side of I-45 to get into Galveston this afternoon.

If I hear one more media pundit talk about how it could be worse, I’m going to scream. There are 5 million customers without power. Houston, Galveston, and many other southeast Texas cities are shutdown. This is bad. Could it be worse, I guess, so far the death toll is low. But the media has no business diminishing Ike’s destruction. And, yes this is also to Kelley Ogle – KWTV 9 – OKC reporter in Houston whose tease was: “It could have been worse.” Tell that to the people who don’t have a home…Kelley.
