...RECORD DAILY RAINFALL AND ALL-TIME AUGUST DAILY RAINFALL
RECORD BROKEN AT AT OKLAHOMA CITY...

AS OF 500 PM THIS AFTERNOON... THE RAINFALL ACCUMULATION AT WILL
ROGERS WORLD AIRPORT HAS BEEN 4.62 INCHES. THIS BREAKS THE
PREVIOUS RECORD FOR AUGUST 11TH OF 2.86 INCHES THAT OCCURRED BACK IN
1892.

THE PRECIPITATION TOTAL ALSO BREAKS THE THE ALL-TIME AUGUST DAILY
RECORD RAINFALL OF 3.82 INCHES. THE PREVIOUS RECORD OCCURRED LAST
YEAR ON AUGUST 19TH FROM THE REMNANTS OF TROPICAL STORM ERIN.
