Hurricane Dolly – 2008-6

Dolly now a Cat 2 Hurricane

At 10:00am CDT:

– The center of Category 2 Hurricane Dolly was 30 miles east-northeast
of Brownsville, Texas. Movement is towards the northwest at 7mph.
Maximum sustained winds are near 100mph. Minimum surface pressure is
measured at 964mb.

– Hurricane force winds extend outward to 25 miles from the center and
tropical storm force wind to 140 miles.

– Landfall is expected within the next few hours north of Brownsville.
Currently Dolly is very close to the coastline per RADAR imagery.
