Hurricane Dolly – 2008-4

Dolly now a Cat 1 Hurricane

At 4:00pm CDT:

– Hurricane and Tropical Storm warnings continue as previously stated.

– The center of Cat 1 Hurricane Dolly was located 165 miles
east-southeast of Brownsville, Texas. Movement is towards the
northwest at 10mph. Maximum sustained winds are near 75mph and
minimum surface pressure is 986mb.

– Hurricane force winds extend outward to 15 miles from the center and
tropical storm force winds to 160 miles.

– Landfall is still expected within 30 miles north/south of
Brownsville late Wednesday morning into the early afternoon.

No changes to prior discussion, this issuance is for Dolly reaching
hurricane status.
