…TORNADO SURVEY INFORMATION…

A DAMAGE SURVEY PERSON FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE
IN TULSA HAS CONFIRMED A TORNADO PATH IN OSAGE COUNTY
FROM THE EARLY MORNING STORMS OF MARCH 31ST.

THE TORNADO WILL BE RATED EF-1 ON THE ENHANCE FUJITA SCALE.

TIME…546 AM TO 554 AM.

LOCATION…2 MILES NORTH-NORTHWEST OF HOMINY TO 6 MILES
EAST-NORTHEAST OF HOMINY.

PATH LENGTH…5.5 MILES.

MAXIMUM PATH WIDTH…250 YARDS.

MAXIMUM ESTIMATED WIND…85 TO 95 MPH.

IMPACT…THE TORNADO DAMAGED 3 HOMES AND SEVERAL BARNS…WHILE
SNAPPING OR DAMAGING A NUMBER OF TREES. A SMALL BOAT WAS
CARRIED APPROXIMATELY ONE MILE…COMING TO REST IN THE TOP OF
A TREE.

DAMAGE SURVEYS ARE ALSO BEING CONDUCTED TODAY NEAR AVANT AND
BARNSDALL IN OSAGE COUNTY…NEAR WELCH IN CRAG COUNTY AND
NEAR WYANDOTTE IN OSAGE COUNTY. THESE SURVEYS HAVE NOT YET
BEEN COMPLETED AND MAY NOT BE COMPLETED UNTIL TOMORROW.
