…DAMAGE SURVEY INFORMATION FROM YESTERDAYS STORMS…

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TULSA HAS SURVEYED THE
AREAS WHERE REPORTS OF DAMAGE WERE RECEIVED IN BENTON COUNTY
ARKANSAS.

THE DAMAGE WAS ASSOCIATED WITH A SHORT LINE OF STORMS THAT MOVED
ACROSS THE NORTHWEST PART OF BENTON COUNTY AROUND 130 PM YESTERDAY
…FEBRUARY 5 2008.

EVIDENCE OF 60 TO 65 MPH WINDS WERE NOTED 3 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
GENTRY WHERE SOME TREE DAMAGE OCCURRED. NO EVIDENCE OF TORNADO
DAMAGE WAS FOUND.

NWS TULSA STAFF WILL JOIN NWS LITTLE ROCK STAFF TOMORROW IN THE
CONTINUED SURVEYING OF THE TORNADO DAMAGE IN NORTHERN ARKANSAS.
