1200 AM CDT SAT AUG 26 2006

...RECORD WARMEST HIGH AND WARMEST LOW TEMPERATURES WERE BROKEN
YESTERDAY AT OKLAHOMA CITY.

THE HIGH TEMPERATURE YESTERDAY AT WILL ROGERS WORLD AIRPORT WAS 105
DEGREES. THIS HAD BROKEN THE PREVIOUS RECORD HIGH OF 102 DEGREES
FOR AUGUST 25... WHICH HAD BEEN SET IN 2000.

IN ADDITION... THE LOW TEMPERATURE YESTERDAY WAS 80 DEGREES. THIS
HAD BROKEN THE PREVIOUS RECORD WARMEST LOW TEMPERATURE OF 78 DEGREES
FOR AUGUST 25... WHICH HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY SET IN 1936.

WEATHER RECORDS FOR OKLAHOMA CITY DATE BACK TO NOVEMBER OF 1890.
